Crime and Community Safety

"..we all want the same for their future - a safe area."

Crime and anti-social behaviour are some of the biggest issues raised by the community, although significant progress has been made over the last few years to reduce the incidence of crime and ASB. The effects of crime impacts upon all aspects of community life, so the Crime and Community Safety Team is in place to tackle crime and the fear of crime within the Charlestown & Lower Kersal area, and is working closely with the City Council's Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership and Greater Manchester Police's East Salford team to address crime and anti-social behaviour.

Help to tackle anti-social behaviour in your area:

The Salford anti-social behaviour hotline has been set up to take reports of and respond quickly and effectively to anti-social behaviour. Whether it is nuisance neighbours, intimidating groups hanging around, litter, fly tipping, noise or graffiti you can report anti-social behaviour on this dedicated action line.

Call 0161 909 6544.

If you wish to speak to a member of the Crime & Community Safety team, please call 0161 607 8510.
