Key to the success of regenerating the area is raising the aspirations and achievements of local residents, as well as enhancing their employability and skills. This is particularly important for those experiencing barriers to work or training. To meet the needs of businesses in Charlestown and Lower Kersal, the NDC initiative helps businesses to improve competitiveness and efficiency, promote the growth of existing companies and encourage the creation of new firms to provide quality employment opportunities for local people.
