Skills and Work

Introducing Skills and Work - the service that connects local people to opportunities

Skills and Work helps Salford residents realise their potential by connecting them to jobs, training and skills. It provides information, advice and guidance, training and one-to-one support to help local residents to move into education, training and/or employment. Based in a former shop unit on Littleton Road, Skills and Work helps local people wanting to improve their job prospects, or get back into work.

This service is open to all adults 19 and over, but is specially designed to help people who have been unemployed for a while and may need a little bit of extra help getting back into employment.

Skills and Work is also the new name for Jobshop+. The four centres around Salford have now been rebranded under the new name. The new image for the service incorporates pictures of local volunteers who benefited from the service personally and are now happy to recommend it to others.
