The Crime & Community Safety team is progressing schemes to make crime and the fear of crime a thing of the past in Charlestown & Lower Kersal.
Community Safety & Crime Programme Manager
The role is to ensure the successful implementation of the NDC projects to reduce disorder, crime and the fear of crime. The Programme Manager is committed to engaging with the local community to establish their problems and needs, and put in place the plans to address those issues. Mark Fish is the dedicated NDC Area Officer
Mark Fish is the dedicated NDC police officer for the New Deal area. His role is to work specifically within the NDC area in a high profile capacity to respond to the needs of the community. Mark is supported by Community Officers who are providing extra police presence in the NDC area:
- PC Darren White is covering the Lower Kersal area
- PC Chris Crook is covering the Whit Lane Estate area

In addition, there are also Police Community Support Officers who work in the area. They work closely with the community, and provide reassurance to local residents.
