NDC Minibus

In April 2004 NDC purchased a mini bus to be used by local groups. The bus can be hired if you are part of a community group or a Residents’ Association within the New Deal Area. The bus can help provide groups with transport to meetings, events and outings.

The bus is managed by Salford Community Transport (SCT). They take all bookings for the vehicle and provide MIDAS training for people wishing to drive the bus. They can be contacted on 736 8852

How it works

The project is a partnership between New Deal, SCT ( who are responsible for managing and administering the service on a day to day basis ) and the mini bus management committee

Key aspects of the service are

  • Booking procedures terms, and conditions have been drawn up in line with SCT’s procedures, but with particular reference to the NDC vehicle, where they may differ.
  • Payment – community groups are required to register with SCT, for an annual fee of £10, enabling the vehicle to be operated under SCT’s S.19 permit. There is a payments of £10 for the NDC vehicle,  groups are also required to return the vehicle with a full tank of diesel
