Get involved
Getting involved in your community can be a very rewarding, pleasurable and exciting activity.
The best way to go about it is by contacting the NDC Community Involvement Team at Cromwell House on 0161 607 8533 or 8531.
They can put you in touch with community or residents' groups in your part of Charlestown or Lower Kersal, let you know what's happening in the area, and tell you about the different projects that NDC is running to improve things for everyone.
You can also attend NDC Task Group meetings that are held on a regular basis within the area. These focus on the 6 themes that NDC works on:-
- Building communities
- Crime & community safety
- Children, young people & education
- Physical environment
- Health
- Business, employment & skills
You can also help by submitting articles for the NDC newsletter, or nominations for NDC Stars for anyone you know who goes out of their way to help others - e-mail helen.robertshaw@salford.gov.uk or call 0161 607 8514.
