Innovation Forum

The Innovation Forum project is delivered by Salford City Council and The University of Salford and funded by North West Development Agency, European Regional Development Fund and Charlestown and Lower Kersal New Deal for Communities.

The Forum, which opened in March 2008, provides high quality, fully managed office space to innovative, knowledge-based businesses and has offices to accommodate from one to forty people.

Innovation Forum

It is a progressive commercial environment where local communities and education institutions will work together to develop new enterprise opportunities throughout Salford, the Greater Manchester sub-region and the North West.

Within the Innovation Forum building there is a dedicated community space (approximately 81 square metres) secured by NDC’s £300k contribution to the capital cost of the building.  The NDC partnership approved a proposal for the development of a Social Media Centre in this facility which incorporates training and activities in media, such as television, radio and new web-based applications (web sites, blogging and podcasts) and has a strong emphasis on community engagement and cohesion.
