An intensive Masterplanning process is now complete for the new development in Charlestown Riverside, and a planning application was submitted in August 2009 following a presentation to the community on 20th August. The plans closely reflect the design process that started in 2007, and the comments from the Charlestown Riverside Peoples Panel Report
The Masterplan will be considered by the City Council and a decision is expected by April 2010. The planning application can be viewed via the Public Access system through www.salford.gov.uk/planning
These are the latest timescales for redevelopment on Charlestown Riverside, including demolition of some of the terraced housing and part of the Whit Lane estate. Please note that these timescales may still change, but we will be keeping everyone updated as development progresses.
