Relocation Relocation Relocation!
Relocation, Relocation, Relocation

The Raftery family from Lower Kersal have recently moved into their ‘dream home’, with the support of new Relocation Assistance. Harry Raftery said “we are delighted, we wanted to stay in the area and thats what we’ve done. Our new home is great, we have lots of storage space, good sized bedrooms and a garden that provides adequate privacy”.
Wendy Raftery said “The new relocation equity loan meant we could move to our “dream home” without paying back any equity until we either sell our home in the future or transfer the deeds”.
Harry Raftery said “We worked closely with the Salford City Council and New Deal for Communities and they stuck to their word and all went to plan”.
Salford City Council paid the couple market value for their old property and they also received compensation for losing their home and a disturbance allowance. There old property will be demolished so that the area can be transformed with a mix of new modern homes and facilities.
Salford City Council and New Deal for Communities are determined to help more residents like the Raftery's that are affected by redevelopment plans.
