So what is NDC all about?
In 2001, the area was awarded £53m to spend on improvements over a ten-year period from 2001 to 2011, fitted within six broad themes:

- Crime & Community Safety
- Children, Young People and Education
- Physical Environment
- Health
- Business, Employment and Skills
