Charlestown and Lower Kersal New Deal for Communities
"Making Charlestown & Lower Kersal a place where people want to live, by building a community and future that engages everyone."
Welcome to our new look website for all you need to know about regeneration in Charlestown & Lower Kersal.
There are new pages on projects and activities, and a new interactive map which you can click on to find out more about each neighbourhood within the New Deal for Communities (NDC) area. The site should now also be easier to navigate, with a new pathway bar that lets you track back through pages along your route through the site.
The site has been given a fresh new look and we've added more information and pictures to really give a flavour of the changes taking place in Charlestown & Lower Kersal. Keep checking back as we add more content over the coming weeks, and add us to your 'favourites'.
See What are we doing? for an update on NDC's projects and activities. Can't find what you want? Try the 'search' facility at the top of the page.
So what is NDC all about?
In 2001, the area was awarded £53m to spend on improvements over a ten-year period from 2001 to 2011. The work of the NDC Partnership Board and team fits within six broad areas:
• Building Communities
• Crime & Community Safety
• Children, Young People & Education
• Physical Environment
• Health
• Business, Employment & Skills
Visit Who are we? for more background on the programme and the partners involved.
